“Perennials” is a chamber-folk album that explores themes of growth, healing, and love in the age of the climate crisis. Embracing a live performance sound, “Perennials” weaves stories of personal and collective process, imagining a world on the other side of systemic anxiety and uncertainty.
Emergence Collective (2016-2023) was a music initiative founded by four artists in New York City - Kate Douglas, Matthew Dean Marsh, Raina Sokolov-Gonzalez, and Sylver Wallace. “Perennials” was conceived in the height of Covid as this quartet, like the rest of the world, isolated and then reunited.
Perennials was mixed and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Jon Rosenberg.
