Set in 1959, the show follows Jane and Thomas, two people from two different generations, who meet at a VFW dance in South Dakota on Veteran’s Day.

These two embody America at the time, torn between a glorious past and an uncertain future. They should be in complete conflict, but in a single night, they change each other's lives.
